1 · Capture
Caught, in your own words.
Say it to your phone or your wrist. It's in your book, in your own words, before you've sat down.
Transcribed on the phone itself, not on a server. Type instead when you'd rather.
The Action Button, Siri and Spotlight open Capture ready to record; the wrist records and hands the note to the phone.
She keeps the key inside the piano.
2 · Ideas
It waits until it belongs.
Some thoughts have no story yet. They wait in Ideas until one does, and then you move them across — or it becomes a story of its own.
Idea · Tuesday
A lighthouse keeper who is afraid of the dark, and has never told anyone.

3 · Dormouse's read
Dormouse reads your notes back to you.
A synthesis of everything you've written so far, cited to your own notes and rewritten whenever you ask. Never a word of it in your prose.
Ask it a question and it answers from your notes, and shows you which ones. Only the notes it needs go to the AI, through Dormouse's own server, and nothing you write is ever used to train anything.
Two brothers, one field, and a letter that was written but never sent. What the notes keep circling is the field itself — who it was promised to, and why the promise was made in winter.
4 · The continuity check
Grey eyes in March, green by June.
Dormouse finds the facts your notes disagree on and lays the two passages side by side, in your words. You decide which is true — or that both are.
Whatever you settle, every later read of the book respects it. Dormouse never decides for you.
Around the notes
Around the notes, a book takes shape.
Cast, places, items, scenes, threads and themes. Dormouse can suggest them from what you've said, and you keep what's right. Each character gets a notebook of its own; scenes you can reorder, each knowing how far it's come; threads are the open questions you write your way into.
The Story Plan gathers it all — synopsis, cast, plot, threads and what you've settled — into one document you can send on as Markdown or PDF.
The plan is the only export; notes and audio stay in the app. And your manuscript stays wherever you write it — Dormouse is the notebook, not the desk. There is no questionnaire: it asks one question a day, about your book, and you can answer it or not.
5 · What it costs
What you keep, whatever happens.
One subscription, no free tier, no adverts. If it ever lapses, everything you've made stays readable in the Reading Room, and your story plan stays exportable. Only writing and Dormouse's reading pause.
£4.99 a month, or £44.99 a year with the first month free for new subscribers.
UK prices; the App Store shows yours. The free month is once per Apple ID. Renews until you cancel, in your Apple subscription settings. Nothing is deleted for non-payment.
You pay to keep writing, never to keep what you've written.
